Trek and Run were supported during this event by; Salba Chia  Columbia Sportswear & Helly Hansen Part 1 by Dave Sherman – As event day drew closer I’ll admit I was getting excited as despite completing some great events in 2014, this was one of the events which had really stood out above the others. Men’s Health: Survival of the Fittest

By Dave Sherman and Steve Kimberley Photos by R and R Photography and Dave Sherman Part 1 by Dave Sherman In November 2013 Team Trek and Run tackled the day and night events at Rat Race’s ‘Survival of the Fittest‘ in Battersea Park, London, and without a doubt it was one of the highlights of my race year.  The sheer number of participants and party atmosphere had created an amazing experience from the moment we arrived onsite until we left battered and bruised a few hours later. But with the re-development of Battersea Power station into luxury homes, Survival had relocated this year to Wembley…

A Swimming Masterclass, and more, at Chelsea Health Club

Recently we visited Chelsea Health club, just down from Fulham Broadway Tube station and right next to Stamford Bridge stadium, to check out a few new additions to their fitness suite and also to take a swimming class with Adam Walker, the first Brit to swim seven of the hardest and deadliest channels in the world. I was particularly looking forward to the swim class. I’d heard about Adam and his impressive achievements (such as swimming from Spain to Morocco and back in one go, taking on the hardest currents in…

I wont lie I LOVED IT!! The combination of the challenge, pushing my body…

The London Holi One Festival 2014, part 2

Words by Laura Kimberley, photos by Lamia Hossain When my friend asked me if I wanted to go to the Holi One festival a few weeks ago I knew absolutely nothing about it. “It’s the one where everyone throws the powder in the air” was his succinct explanation – “OK” I said, “I’m in!” Since agreeing to go I looked into the festival in more detail and learned that it is held all over the world with millions of people taking part.  On the day I arrived slightly later than…
